The worst part of traveling, in my opinion, is the laundry you have to do when you come home. It always seems like I manage to accumulate so much more laundry when I am away! Oh well, the trip home for Thanksgiving was definitely worth it, regardless of the amount of laundry I have to do now!
Loving
Now that I live in a different state, I don't get to see my family very often. Fortunately, I was able to travel home for the holiday this past week. We had a great time, and I enjoyed plenty of home cooking. (Probably more than I should have!) I even got to see my sister try on wedding dresses. We squeezed a lot of quality family time into the short break!
Thinking
It is hard to shift gears from vacation back to school, but I am working on it. I am trying to think of some good winter themed activities to make these few weeks before Christmas fun. Any suggestions are welcome!
Wanting
I am looking forward to Cyber Monday, both on Teachers Pay Teachers and for everything else. I am hoping I score some great deals. Hopefully I finish the rest of my Christmas shopping tomorrow, I am already pretty close!
Needing
I usually like to make something for my coworkers, and by make, I really mean bake. I have been scouring Pinterest and have a couple of possibilities. If you have any good ideas, please share!
Favorite Tradition
One of my absolute favorite things about the holidays is my mom's chocolate gingerbread cookies. They are delicious. No other cookie can compare. I took them to school once, and everyone loved them. I love gingerbread to begin with, but adding the chocolate takes it to the next level!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone is up to for the wonderful month of December!
Sounds like you should bake your gingerbread cookies for your coworkers! :) I hate baking and cooking, mainly because of the dishes, haha! What part of Ohio did you live in? I'm from Ohio! :) Just north of Columbus. :) Hope you're enjoying N.J. and that you get to come back to the Buckeye state again soon!

It is a short break but a good one! Much needed after almost 3 months with no break!

ReplyDeleteI found you through the Currently linky! Chilly weather...what's that like?!? I live in southern AZ so it's not chilly here often. And how does one make chocolate gingerbread cookies? Those sounds amazing!

It's hard living in a different state from your family, but I'm glad you were able to enjoy your time with them. How exciting to see your sister try on wedding dresses! Have fun shopping tomorrow!
