Currently - November!

It seems like it was just the beginning of October, and now it is already November! November is such a great month. I am already looking forward to Thanksgiving and all that delicious food. November is also a pretty busy month at school, with conferences and holiday events starting to pop up. Since it is a new month, that means Farley's Currently!

Listening
The weekends are always a time to catch up on laundry, and this weekend is no different. With a one bedroom apartment, there is no escaping the noise of the laundry machine. Oh well, it must be done!

Loving
I benchmarked one of my third grade intervention groups on Friday. All of the students went up at least one reading level, and two students went up two reading levels! I am so proud of them! I hope my second group of third graders does just as well. Fingers crossed!

Thinking
On Friday, I had my first observation. This was my long observation. (40 minutes) I had a pre-conference on Thursday and will have my post-conference on Monday. I was observed during two first grade guided reading groups. I think the lessons went really well. My students worked very hard. Hopefully the post-conference goes well too!

Wanting
Who couldn't use a couple of days off? Luckily, I have Thursday and Friday off of this week. I am looking forward to a little break. Sometimes it is nice to recharge and come back fresh!

Needing
Tomorrow I am running a 10k. A bunch of ladies from my running club will be running the race too, and I am looking forward to a good time. These ladies really know how to do races right. They always bring plenty of goodies. The weather is supposed be very nice, so I think it will be a good time.

A Yummy Pin
I have been playing around with a running/healthy eating blog lately. It is just in the early stages. This is one of the recipes I created. These whole wheat muffins are stuffed with a pumpkin butter that I made in the crockpot. I brought the muffins to a PLC meeting one week at school, and they were a big hit. They are hearty whole wheat muffins that are perfect for this time of year!

I can't wait to hear what everyone else has been up to!

  6. Oh, yummy! Those look great! I will have to get that recipe and make them for the kids! The weekends are always for laundry too, and ours is right above our kitchen and family room. It is all I hear on the weekends if the TV isn't on.

I am sure your observation went well! Have a fun rest of the weekend!
