June Currently!

Time for everyone's favorite linky! I cannot believe it is already the beginning of June! Time is flying by. I am currently reading a great book called The Happiness Project, and I came across this amazing quote that I thinks sums things up perfectly. (Of course I had to find it on Pinterest too!) I thought you all might enjoy it as well.
Anyways, back to the Currently linky! Here is a little overview of what is currently going on in my life!

Listening
The weatherman has been forecasting rain all day, but it finally just started. We are glad it decided to hold out. Originally the rain was forecast for the early morning, right when we were supposed to run a 10k! Luckily, Mother Nature cut us a break! Which leads me to my next category...

Loving
I am loving that I ran my second 10k this morning! The race was especially fun because it was at the Cincinnati Reds baseball stadium. My running mates were my college roommate and my other friend who is an art teacher. We had a great run, but it was extremely humid. Cincinnati is also notorious for its hills. I actually finished three minutes quicker than my last 10k!

Thinking
I am so glad it is summer! I am looking forward to catching up with friends and relaxing. Warm weather is an added bonus as well. I am already thinking about all the wonderful things I want to do this summer.

Wanting
I really wanted to go to the pool last week, but it wasn't open! Since it was supposed to rain, I didn't go today either. Tomorrow is a new day right?

Needing
I am moving to New Jersey this summer. I really thought I was good about continually cleaning out my closet. Apparently junk was secretly hiding in the corners of my closet and drawers. This is going to be more work than I originally thought! Oh well, it will be worth it in the end. It's good to do a hearty cleaning every once and awhile anyways.

3 Vacay Essentials
Unfortunately, I do not have any vacations scheduled this summer, but maybe a spontaneous one will pop up! When I do go on vacation, I always pack sunscreen. There is nothing like a sunburn to spoil a perfectly good vacation! I am also obsessed with my Kindle. I cannot travel or go to the pool/beach without it. Last, but certainly not least, I always need a camera on vacation. Whether it be my phone or the old fashioned type, I have to document the adventure. Then I can create a wonderful photo book when I return to reality!

Well, that's whats going on in my world! Can't wait to see what is happening with everyone else. Happy Summer!

  1. Amy,

What was your time on your 10k? I ran a 5k Color Run this morning, but have slacked lately in my running (like all winter kind of slacking!) so I was sloooowww. I'm running a half in Chicago in August so I've got to step it up! :)

  2. Congrats on your 10K. I can certainly agree with the humidity being nasty. Those of us down here in Louisiana deal with it almost all year round!

  5. Hi Amy,
I'm so glad I found you through the June Currently. I love connecting with other reading intervention teachers. Congrats on your race! I have two 5Ks coming up...The Electric Run and The Diva Dash. You'll have to share some good books you've read recently. I'm looking for some new titles to download on my Kindle to keep me going through the summer. I'm a new follower :)
